scouttreedrive2010 is our 25th Anniversary!!!

The Boy Scout troops of Sammamish, WA have performed the Christmas tree recycling drive as an annual service project and their main fundraiser for the year beginning with Christmas 1985 (January 1986). Your donations are a critical part of our ability to provide a quality program, consistent with the high ideals of scouting. We thank you for your support.

This year's pickup is Saturday January 9th 2010.

  • We cover the Sammamish Plateau including the Issaquah Highlands.
  • The suggested donation is $15-$25 per tree. All your donations go directly to funding the local Scouting programs right here on the Sammamish plateau. This is our main fundraiser for the year and we appreciate your support!
  • If you get a flyer on your door, or you reside in an apartment community in our coverage area, then we can pick up your tree! If your flyer has gone missing, the flyer is available online on the Flyer page.
  • If a flyer did not make it to your door, but you are wondering if we pickup in your neighborhood, please check the Area Map.  If you are still unsure, use the Contact Us page and send us your street address or nearest cross streets. We can confirm by email.
  • If you would prefer to drop off your tree directly, you may drop your tree and donation off at one of our 2 chipper locations shown on the Drop Off page.

Leaving Your Tree for Pickup - The Do's

Please place your donation in the envelope that was attached to your flyer.  The suggested donation is $15-$25 per tree. All your donations go directly to funding the local Scouting programs right here on the Sammamish plateau. This is our main fundraiser for the year and we appreciate your support! Please make checks payable to "Boy Scouts of America".

Seal the envelope and place it on the bottom of the tree with a rubber band.  Also please consider putting the envelope inside a small zip lock bag in bad weather.

Please place the tree curbside in front of your residence. If that is not possible, place the tree at the nearest cross street corner. Trees should be out before 9 AM as this is when pickup begins.

Thank You!

The Don'ts

For safety reasons, we cannot accept trees with tinsel, flocked trees, trees with nails, artificial trees, wreathes with metal shape wires, or trees with any other metal attached.

Please do NOT leave trees piled next to our signs, near dumpsters or other locations. Leave the tree curbside in front of your residence.
